That was our motto in 1995 and that is our motto today. Ron Lara, the owner of Western Wildlife Adventures, has been involved in wildlife for over 30 years! Ron was the Chapter Chairman of the San Jose, California Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation for four years grossing hundreds of thousands of dollars for the restoration of habitat for deer. Ron was also one of the original members of the Board of Directors for the California Deer Association, again raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for that organization as well, serving as state treasurer for 8 years. Today, Ron serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Nevada Outfitters and Guides Association helping to bring quality hunts to the would be hunters in the state of Nevada. Ron has met and befriended many hunters along the way and made friends with many of the successful outfitters in the industry. Western Wildlife Adventures has become one of the largest Mule Deer guides in the state of Nevada and is the sole booking agent for "Take Em" Outfitters located in Saskatchewan, Canada, booking more than 100 clients yearly to take the trek up north for some outstanding Honker and Mallard hunting! Whether it is an adventure you see listed in our website or an excursion you want us to explore for you, we are here to serve our clients. If we can help, we will, if we can't we will let you know immediately as your time is as valuable as ours! |

While on a 1977 Tatshenshini River trip in Alaska, O.A.R.S. Founder and President George Wendt, witnessed a vastness even greater in magnitude than the Grand Canyon. It was a profound experience for him to travel approximately 150 miles through territory utterly untouched by human development. The Tat was a very different type of river than he had previously experienced, taking him through lush glacier-carved, U-shaped valleys teeming with wildlife. Walking on a glacier certainly offered a dramatic change from the hot desert southwest where he had spent much of his time. He recognized immediately it was a place he needed to share with others |

Klamath River Rafting is suited to whole family participation, with warm Summer river flows, great swimming, and beginner to intermediate level rapids (class II and III). The white water rafting and kayaking adventure at Marble Mountain Guest Ranch is scheduled in the warmer afternoon hours and covers a new and exciting stretch of the river each day. Our afternoon departures place us on the river after the first push of rafting traffic and gives us an almost exclusive use of the canyon. This strategy also enables our signature "raft and ride" program of scheduling horse rides, and shooting in cooler mornings with rafting trips in the warmer afternoons. Since we are central to each of these rafting locations, shuttles take no more than 35 minutes to the launch site on any day. |
