I have been guiding hunters in Texas and New Mexico since 1988. We are a hands on outfitter and I, Harry Wood, am personally on every hunt. I have hunted over most of the United States, from Maine to Idaho, Colorado and of course New Mexico. The area we outfit in is a game rich area with elk, deer, bear, mountain lion, and merriam turkey. The elevation of the area our guests hunt ranges from 6500 to 9800 feet. We are proud of the number of repeat hunters who hunt with us year after year. Some of my guides have been with us ten years and are very good, knowledgeable guides. I am a bowhunter and have taken record book animals with the bow so I know what it takes for a hunter to be successful. |

We hunt the oldfashioned way, call, stalk and ambush. During the September bow hunts, calling is our preferred method of hunting elk. We use several calling methods to entice trophy bulls to enter shooting lanes. Most shots are taken from 10 to 40 yards out. We have been very successful utilizing tree stands, ground blinds and decoys. By far, the bow hunt is the most exciting of all elk hunting. Nothing brings more excitement and heart pounding action than a bull bugling in total rage less than 100 yards from set-up. We are seasoned bow hunters as well and understand the special needs of bow hunters. This is a very physical hunt and requires that the hunter be in top shape and willing to hike the many miles required to stalk these fast moving creatures and in some case run to maneuver on set-ups or ambush. The rut usually begins during these bow hunts and the element of surprise offers excellent opportunities at P & Y bulls. You can expect lots of action and activity on these archery hunts. |
| Elk*Deer*Bear*Antelope* Cougar*Javelina* Turkey*Hogs*Exotics All American Outfitter & Guide Service Brandon Gaudelli Box 804 Reserve, NM 87830 Phone 505-533-6200 EMAIL WEBSITE |
Hello. I`m Brandon Gaudelli, owner & operator of All-American Outfitter`s, I`m nestled in the Apache & Gila national forest the heart of some of the biggest bull Elk in the country . My lodge & home is located in unit 15 - only 9 miles northeast of Reserve, New Mexico. I started guiding New Mexico in 1989. I hunt a lot of the state but the Southwest portion is by far my favorite, due to the milder terrain, lower altitude 5500-8500 ft., and road accessibility. For the past four years the Gila has had record moisture, this will most definitely encourage good horn growth and it has! I'm a bow hunter at heart, as are most of my guides. I believe bow hunters are more prepared and know more of what it takes to get a client close to the game they are trying to harvest. New Mexico has some great incentive hunts for the Youth and some fantastic opportunities for the Mobility Impaired (Elk rut hunts). I pride myself on these hunts! Words can't express the look in young person’s eyes when they have taken their first deer or a person in a wheelchair shoot an Elk with his teeth. . |

New Mexico encompasses over 120,000 square miles of public and private land that offers a diversity of hunting opportunities. Our wildlife habitat includes deserts, grasslands, forests and mountainous terrain and provides a truly unique opportunity to hunt a wide variety of species during the fall and winter of the year. Elevations range from under 3,000 feet in the southeast corner of the state to Wheeler Peak at over 13,000 feet. Although our climate is typically mild and sunny, hunters should be prepared for climate extremes at any time. A New Mexico hunt is likely to present the hunter with extremes of both heat and cold, often on the same day. |

Elk hunting in New Mexico can only be accomplished in one of two ways. You either draw a tag, or buy a landowner permit. A landowner permit is essentially a voucher to allow you to purchase a guaranteed elk tag. We purchase these landowner permits and combine them with our guiding services to offer a wide range of elk-hunting opportunities. Although the permits increase the cost of the hunts, it allows us to "guarantee" an elk tag to a customer for our hunts. We simply schedule the dates. |
